We’ve been lucky enough to live within a quick drive of western New York for 10+ years now. There are so many great places to visit in New York that it is difficult to choose a favorite. It really depends on what kind of adventure you are looking for!
The Finger Lakes region is well-known for wine, but the towns along the 11 lakes are beautiful places to explore. As waterfall enthusiasts ourselves, the Finger Lakes is one of our most highly recommended waterfall destinations. The unique water features through those gorges are stunning, especially in the late spring and the fall.
We wouldn’t want you to forget about the Adirondacks, either. While we haven’t become Adirondack 46’ers yet, we’re working on it! The Adirondacks are one of our favorite spots for hiking getaways.
