Wave Lakeside Dining

One of the standout dining experiences during my visit was at Wave Lakeside Dining, located in The Wave hotel.

What really impressed me about Wave was how thoughtful they are about food allergies and dietary restrictions. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, which made the entire experience feel relaxed and welcoming.

The menu focuses on elevated American cuisine with seasonal ingredients, and the setting makes it a great place to start or end your day while visiting the Lake Erie shoreline. If you’re looking for a slightly more upscale place to eat in Marblehead, Wave Lakeside Dining is a fantastic option.

I got to enjoy both brunch and dinner, and everything I tried was delicious. I’d especially recommend the Grilled Coastal Walleye Tacos and the Country Frommage Melt.

Save room for dessert, too, because the Skillet Cookie and the Butter Cake were both worth it!

Red’s Lakehouse Restaurant & Bar

If you want to try one of the Lake Erie region’s most famous dishes, Red’s Lakehouse Restaurant & Bar is where I would send you.

This casual restaurant is a great place to order renowned Lake Erie perch or walleye bites, along with many other fantastic menu options.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a perfect stop after a day exploring the Marblehead Lighthouse area or taking a ferry out to the Lake Erie islands.

Beyond the fish specialties, the menu also offers plenty of variety, including sandwiches, seafood dishes, classic American favorites, and bowls. I also tried the Asian Ginger Bowl, which was delicious and enough to feed me for multiple meals.

It’s a great option if you’re traveling with a group of friends or family members who all want something a little different.

Beach Glass Lounge

If you’re looking for a place with a slightly more upscale atmosphere, Beach Glass Lounge is a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner or drinks (or both!).

Bright restaurant interior with a long bar, large blue glass chandelier, and modern hanging art installation above the seating area at Beach Glass Lounge near Marblehead, Ohio. The airy dining room features tall windows and a coastal inspired design.

The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the space is the stunning chandelier hanging overhead, which immediately gives the space an elegant coastal vibe.

The menu features thoughtfully prepared dishes and small plates, making it a great place to share appetizers and enjoy a slower evening out.

I definitely recommend ordering the crab cakes appetizer and the Lounge Burger. They were the highlights of my meal and absolutely worth trying. They also feature a raw bar, if that’s more your speed.

Root to Rise Wellness Café

If you’re looking for something lighter or more wellness-focused, Root to Rise Wellness Café is another great place to eat in Marblehead.

This cozy café focuses on fresh, nourishing options, making it a great stop for a healthy breakfast, smoothie, or light lunch before heading out to explore the shoreline or nearby parks.
